To pick-up and drop-off directly at Wolf Camp, you may arrive as early as 8:30 a.m., and pick up as late as 4:30 p.m., and although day camp activities only run from 9:30-3:30, this gives campers the same amount of time to spend with our instructors as if they were utilizing the vanpools.

Snohomish County:
Arlington also serving Stanwood, I5 exit 208, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet at the Irish Turkey House just southeast of the freeway.
Everett also serving Marysville & Lake Stevens, I5 exit "193" or exit "194" (depending on which direction you are coming from) leaving at 8:45 a.m. and arriving back at 4:15 p.m. Meet at the 76 Gas Station on Everett Ave. just west of the freeway. It is just off the exit if you are coming from the north. But if you are coming from the south on I5, or off Hwy. 2, then you'll have to make your way up to Everett Ave. on the west side of the freeway. There is a different exit and onramp for each way you are going and coming from, which reduces congestion nicely, but it takes some study to avoid wrong turns.
Monroe rendezvous point also serving Snohomish, Rite-Aid, leaving at 9:10 a.m. and arriving back at 3:50 p.m. Meet on the east side of the Fred Meyer parking lot off Kelsey St.
South Snohomish, at the new Snohomish County Parks & Recreation Department Offices if you sign up through their program.

North & East King County:.
Downtown/University/Wallingford/Ravenna rendezvous point also serving the Norths & Hursts, Green Lake - Lake City I5 Exit 171, in the Safeway parking lot, is an incredibly great spot for everyone coming from every direction, leaving at 8:15 a.m. and arriving back at 4:45 p.m. For those coming from the south, downtown or the eastside, the Safeway is 60 seconds north of the Ship Canal. Going north, take the quick little off-street just as the ramp lets you off I5 onto 73rd St. to Safeway, and either return via Roosevelt Way back onto the 65th St. onramp, or turn left onto 75th St. and then take the quick ramp onto south I5. UW Employees can just go up 12th or 15th or 25th to 75th Ave. to get to Safeway. Ravenna neighborhood parents just need to come down Lake City Way and exit onto Roosevelt Way right before the I5 express lanes onramp. It puts you right into the Safeway parking lot.
Lake Forest Park rendezvous point also serving Edmonds, Mountlake, Richmond and Lynnwood, I5 exit 177, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet in the parking lot of Third Place Books on the corner of Balinger Way Hwy 104 and Lake City Way Hwy 522.
Bothell/Woodinville rendezvous point also serving Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland and Mill Creek, I405 exit 24, leaving at 8:45 a.m. and arriving back at 4:15 p.m. Meet at the Shell Gas Station in the Bothell Business Park east of the freeway.

Choices after camp on Friday:
We do not provide transportation home on Friday afternoon. We hope that parents will be able to attend the Friday presentations from 3:30-4:45, but if you need to make other arrangements, such as having your camper catch a ride home with a friend on Friday, then please call the office at 360-799-1997 ex. 1 to arrange that. Another alternative to attending the Friday presentations is to have campers stay with us at Wolf Camp for the Friday evening stayover and if desired, also the Sat-Sun weekend workshops whether or not parents and other family members are able to attend as well.

CHOICE # ONE after camp on Friday: The first choice is for parents to attend the end-of-camp celebration from 3:30-4:45, plus the pot-luck from 4:45-5:45. At the celebration, the campers receive awards, and they may have prepared wild edible foods or other special presentations for parents, depending on the camp theme. It is very helpful for families to attend the celebration in order to help the campers integrate such a unique experience back into their daily lives. Campers may go home with their parents as early as 5:00.

CHOICE # TWO after camp on Friday: The second choice is for parents to arrange for another family from your area who is attending the end-of-camp celebration to bring your camper home on Friday since we won’t be returning to our normal vanpool locations. But if none of these choices work for you, just call camp director Chris Chisholm and he will try to work out special arrangements. Although it would be a shame to have you miss the end-of-camp celebration on Friday, we know that it may be too far of a drive or a conflict with your work schedule to attend it. Please let us know early in the week if you would like us to arrange safe transport home on Friday for your child with a family in your area who will be attending the end-of-camp celebration.

CHOICE # THREE after camp on Friday: The last and best choice is for campers to stay overnight with us at Wolf Camp on Friday and possibly Saturday as well, whether or not parents attend the end-of-camp celebration on Friday afternoon, and whether or not parents join us for the stayover.

The Friday night stayover costs $25 per person wth tenting set-up from 6:00-7:00, plus music, stories and s'mores around the campfire from 7:00-9:00, optional nature walk from 7:00-8:00 a.m. on Saturday, washing and packing from 8:00-9:00, and breakfast from 9:00-10:00. Parents of unaccompanied campers who are being picked up on Saturday must arrive by 10:00 a.m. at the latest and depart by 1:00 at the latest, or register for the $25 Saturday Workshop and/or the $50 unaccompanied youth Saturday Stayover ($25 for grownups and accompanied youth) and/or the $25 Sunday Workshop. All the weekend choices are available for the whole family, as well as unaccompanied campers aged 9 and above.

The weekend schedule continues with instruction from 10:00-3:00 on Saturday, with lunch break from 12:00-1:00, swimming from 3:00-5:00, pizza and ice cream from 5:00-7:00, and nature movies that are relevant to the seminar theme from 7:00-9:00. Sunday morning there is another optoinal nature walk but from 8:00-9:00, breakfast from 9:00-10:00, workshop from 10:00-3:00 with lunch break running from 12:00-1:00. Parents of unaccompanied campers who are being picked up on Sunday must arrive by 3:00 p.m.

If you and/or your family would like to stay with us over the course of 6 weekends in late June-July to participate in the Friday evening campfires, Saturday & Sunday morning nature walks, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, swimming, nature movies, and workshops, the cost is $475 for the first family member, and $50 less per additional family member.

10 of our camp weeks take place at Cloverdale Park in Arlington, 2 of the weeks we are at Wolf Camp in Monroe, and 2 of the weeks we are in the Seattle/Bellevue area. No matter the location, we provide complimentary van transportation from Seattle, Bellevue, Bellingham, Mt. Vernon and various points in Snohomish County. However, if you do not wish to utilize our vanpooling, you can drop off and pick up directly at the week's day camp location up to an hour before and after camp hours so that all campers receive equal time learning from our staff whether they are in the vans or at the week's day camp site. If you do utilize our vanpooling, we ask that you be prompt at our pick-up and drop-off locations, and although we are normally on time as well, we cannot guarantee it due to traffic, last minute conversations with parents, and other factors, so try not to schedule other things too closely after our pick-up and drop-off times. In addition, we cannot arrange for any camper to switch vans during the week in order to accommodate visits between friends or family - each camper needs to ride in the same van each day, although parents are always welcome to drive their children directly to the day camp location. However, be sure to read our preparatory information carefully to know where we will be on a particular day.

Use of our summer daycamp vanpool is complimentary this year, and in most cases, direct without any stops for campers to minimize time in the vans. Be assured that van safety is the top priority: We mostly use current year mini-vans and they are driven by our own instructors, who are given official training. Pease be prompt at our pick-up and drop-off locations, and although we are normally on time as well, we cannot guarantee it due to traffic, last minute conversations with parents, and other factors, so try not to schedule other things too closely after our pick-up and drop-off times. In addition, we cannot arrange for any camper to switch vans during the week in order to accommodate visits between friends or family - each camper needs to ride in the same van each day, although parents are always welcome to drive their children directly to the day camp location. However, be sure to read our preparatory information carefully to know where we will be on a particular day - whether at Cloverdale Park near Arlington, at Wolf Camp near Monroe, or at another of our field trip destinations - and where we will be for the end-of-camp potluck presentations on Fridays. They always take place at the same location where the week's activities are centered: at Cloverdale Park near Arlington except for the week of July 5-7 and August 28 - Sept 1, 2006.

Our camp locations are worth every minute of the commute, whether you drive the kids yourself, or if you utilize one of our vanpools with very convenient, minimal stop pickup and dropoff points in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and North/Central King County. Snohomish County has some of the most amazing parks, and this one is the most perfect location we have ever found for our day camps. Swimming, shelter, bathrooms, wildlife, tracking sands, forests, open fields, proximity to alpine meadows, intriguing mines, gorgeous waterfalls, and old growth rainforests ... you name it, this location has it!

Click Here for our Camp Locator Map You may drop off at 9:30 and pick up at 3:30 directly at River Meadows Park near Arlington in the summer, or utilize one of our complimentary vanpools. Here are the directions to the park, and to our complimentary vanpool pickup/dropoff locations. To get directly to River Meadows Park, there is a back way coming from Granite Falls which you can use if you are local to that area, but otherwise, take Interstate 5 to the Arlington exit 208, and from there, go east on Hwy. 530 toward Darrington. It is 5 minutes to the town of Arlington, and once there, follow the signs to Darrington, which requires a left turn at the Hwy. 9 stop light in town, and then make a right turn just a block leter. Go another 1 mile east on 530, then turn right onto Arlington Heights Road, now following the signs to Granite Falls. Go just another mile and then stay right at the V in the road, which puts you onto Jordan Road, again follwoing the sign to Granite Falls. Go 3 miles on Jordan Road, and after crossing the one lane bridge, go another 1/2 mile to the park entrance. Turn right into River Meadows Park, and follow the road downhill to the river. Park in front of the main covered shelter.

Whatcom/Skagit to Arlington I5 Summer Vanpools:
• Bellingham Fairhaven I5 exit 250, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet at the Food Pavilion grocery store parking lot.
• Mt. Vernon downtown I5 exit 226, leaving at 8:55 a.m. and arriving back at 4:00-4:05 p.m. Meet at the train station parking lot just west of the exit.
• Arlington I5 exit 208, leaving at 9:20 a.m. and arriving back at 3:40 p.m. Meet at the Irish Turkey House just southeast of the freeway.

Seattle & Northside I5 Summer Vanpools:
• Seattle I5 University of Washington exit 169 at Kinko's on 45th, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. The room for parking is tight, but fortunately, there always seemed to be plenty of space and not too much traffic last year.
• Mountlake Terrace/Edmonds I5 exit 177, leaving at 8:45 a.m. and arriving back at 4:10 p.m. Meet at the Ballinger Village grocery store parking lot just a block east of the freeway on Ballinger Way NE, also marked as Hwy. 104.

We may be eliminating the Seattle Waldorf School vanpool site since it is rather close to our UW Kinko's pickup point, and because we would like to ask parents in the Ravenna area to also consider driving their kids up to our Balenger Way pickup point listed above since that will reduce the amount of time your kids are in our vans to 45 minutes, and that is better for the younger campers. Please call if you would like to suggest a different alternative for us or the Waldorf School. Directions to the school were: Seattle Ravenna Hwy 522 Lake City Way exit 171, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet at the Seattle Waldorf School, at 2728 NE 100th St. To get there from the I5 exit 171, take Lake City Way (also called Hwy 522) exactly 1.5 miles northeast to 95th St. Turn right (east) onto 95th, and then take an immediate left (north) onto Ravenna Ave. NE. Go 0.2 miles northeast on Ravenna and turn right onto 100th. Go 0.1 miles and the Seattle Waldorf School driveway is on the left.

Eastside I405 Summer Vanpools:
• Bellevue I405 exit 12, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet at the Park & Ride just northwest of the exit. This is the south Bellevue exit, just one exit north of the I90 interchange.
• Bothell / Woodinville I405 exit 24, leaving at 8:45 a.m. and arriving back at 4:10 p.m. Meet at the Shell Gas Station in the Bothell Business Park east of the freeway.

Monroe - Everett Summer Vanpools:
• Monroe Fred Meyer, leaving at 8:30 a.m. and arriving back at 4:30 p.m. Meet on the east side of the Fred Meyer parking lot off Kelsey St.
• Downtown Everett I5 exit 193 or exit 194 depending on which direction you are coming from, leaving at 9:00 a.m. and arriving back at 4:00 p.m. Meet at the gas station on Everett Ave. just west of the freeway. It is just off the exit if you are coming from the north. But if you are coming from the south on I5, or off Hwy. 2, then you'll have to make your way up to Everett Ave. on the wast side of the freeway. There is a different exit and onramp for each way you are going and coming from, which reduces congestion nicely, but it takes some study to avoid wrong turns.

Notes to those who live near Snohomish, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Mill Creek, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Granite Falls, Stanwood, Arlington, and Darrington: If you live in the Snohomish, Lynnwood, Mukilteo, or Mill Creek areas, you can drop off at our Balinger Way or Bothell points if you are going south to work, but we recommend using the downtown Everett exit if at all possible in order to reduce the amount of time your children are in our vans, as it is better for the younger kids in particular to have you drive them a little north yourself. If you live in the Lake Stevens, Granite Falls, Marysville, Stanwood, Arlington, or Darrington areas, you can drop off at our Arlington freeway exit point, or at our downtown Everett point if you are going south to work, but we recommend that you drive your kids to camp yourself, as this will give them more time at the park with our instructors. Please also note that the Snohomish County Parks office is moving down somewhere near Cathcart, and we don't have plans at this time to pick up there since it is fairly close to Bothell. Also, we may eliminate the following stops. Please call if you can't get to the downtown Everett I5/Hwy2 location and absolutely need one of the following choices, including: South Everett / Mill Creek / Mukilteo I5 exit 186, leaving at 8:55 a.m. and arriving back at 4:05 p.m. Meet at the first gas station just northeast of the freeway on Hwy. 96, also known as 128th St. SE at Murphy’s Corner, adjacent to the Quality Inn parking lot; or North Everett / Marysville I5 exit 199, leaving at 9:05 a.m. and arriving back at 3:55 p.m. Meet at the 76 gas station / MacDonald's's parking lot just west of the freeway.

If you do not wish to utilize our vanpooling, you can drop off and pick up directly at the week's day camp location up to an hour before and after camp hours (drop as early as 8:30 and pick up as late as 4:30) so that all campers receive equal time learning from our staff whether they are in the vans or at the week's day camp site.
